I feel awesome! I still check in to see how everyone is doing but with the kids home from school they are keeping me busy busy. Life is good...eating steak, salad and occasionally I have trouble with a few things but I don't let it get me down. I am not using adhesive on top since my last reline and that is amazing. Well I had my one month anniversary on Wednesday. Everything is going pretty well. I did have a mini breakdown last night...my bottom partial is KILLING me. The great part is ...I had no teeth pulled where it is hurting. So as I was telling my husband that it was hurting....the breakdown started...I just started balling crying...I think I just really haven't giving myself the opportunity to just be sad about the whole situation. Dentures???? Who has dentures? LOL! I finally am feeling like these belong to me. I went in for am adjustment today and they feel better already. Dentist says my bone where my front teeth were protrudes a bit so he shaved some of the bulk off of there. ahhh a little less in the way of monkey lip. He said the perms will be shaped to fit over that bone better. The last 2 days my speech has improved a great deal. I have seen the light! :) Seriously I feel great today. I have one tiny little sore spot but other than that I am feeling wonderful. I went to a BBQ last night at my sisters (they know about my teeth) and I had a hamburger from the grill cut into a million pieces. It was good and it gave me hope that real food is coming soon. Everyday keeps getting better and better with the food. I have put a lot of things in my mouth and thought ...oh no and had to spit it out but I tried! I am a little nervou… Continue

Well I hit the one week mark. I am feeling good today. My morning/nightime routine of cleaning, scrubbing, rinsing ect is become more natural. I walked my kids to the bus stop this morning and chatted with the neighbors. I am still concious of my speech but I am improving. I am not so much worried about ppl knowing I have dentures. So far nobody has even taken a second look at my mouth. I guess having bad teeth for so long I am kind of obsessed about looking at others teeth. My husband gets anno… Continue

Ok so if you would have told me in a few days I would feel much better I would have whined and thought I was the only one who felt like I did....poor me! LOL! Ok I feel great today! I went for a soft reline yesterday ...ugh the stuff does not have a good smell(insert gagging face here) The dentist relined me and adjusted the one part of the partial that was digging into my gums. ahhh feeling like I belong in this world! I wouldn't say I feel like a million dollars right yet but I feel much better than I have this week so far. I took it easy yesterday and that made all the difference. I think I was doing too much too soon. Also having visitors is just a no no. I did way too much talking the first couple days. Yes I know day 3 is MIA. I was in a mood yesterday not much to report except soreness and whining. Day 4 I am starting to see the light here. Some of my swelling is going down. The saliva factory started big time but I can deal with that. I need a soft reline and am calling tomorrow morning to get one. I am having way less pain taking the uppers in and out so that is a good thing. I think I am healing well. I haven't looked at the top extraction sites but the bottoms look good. I wasn't going to write that I am having a hard time but honestly I am having a hard time. I am not writing this to scare anyone but just the reality of the situation. I am writing because I KNOW good days are coming but the journey to get to that point seems a little overwhelming right now. When I go into the bathroom to do my whole rinse, scrub, clean routine....it feels like a private hell. I am feeling better than yesterday :) I am still very sore....taking the upper in and out is really very painful. However after it settles in about 20 minutes the pain dwindles. I do sleep in them so my mouth felt incredibly skanky when I woke up this morning. I am still having very light bleeding. When I salt water rinse I get some blood. I still feel a little "chimpy mouth" but I am sure that is just swelling. I went to the dentist yesterday at 11 just so that they could check everything out.… Continue

I am alive! :) amazing! I am going to apologize early and just say I write how I talk and that may be annoying to some ..sorry. Ok so I slept on and off last night. Fell asleep at 10 woke up at 11:30 noticed some slight swelling...went back to bed at 12:30 then at 1:15 my dear 7 yr old woke up with a bad cough. (so I got up and googled swine flu) LOL!
