A little about myself...

Hello! My name is Jennifer and I am 23 years old. Yes, I have a full upper denture. Since I was a little girl I have had terrible teeth. I have never been able to smile or laugh freely with my family and friends. I never thought that I would be able to smile again but when I found this site I regained hope. I was fitted with an upper partial denture when I was 19 to be able to smile at my wedding. Almost five years later I began the journey to a full upper denture. It was a long road with lots of tears along the way but I made it to my new smile. My life has changed dramatically and now I am able to smile again. My view of dentures have changed in the last few weeks, this has given me a whole new lease on life and I love it! I am always here for anyone who needs help on their way to dentures. If you need anything all you need to do is ask!

Sorry I have been MIA!

Well, I haven't stopped in to check on everyone in a month or so. I want to thank everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes .

It's so incredilbly funny to me that something (such as getting dentures) can at one point envelope every thought that goes through your brain and after having the procedure done it becomes the last thing that you think about. My denture journey (the first seven days)!!!

Sunday, March 15, 2009 (day before e-day)
Well, tomorrow I will have my new smile. Oh, I am so nervous! It's so hard having to deal with the uncertainty. How will I look? How will I talk? How will I eat? Oh my, so many questions, I will have to wait for the answers until tomorrow! I have my e-day supplies in front of me. I have been making sure that I have everything that I need. Here's my list:

Five weeks and counting!!!

This is long, there are so many thoughts running through my brain at the moment, I apologize in advance.

Well, my countdown is on. After tomorrow morning there will be no turning back! In the morning I will have the three remaining teeth in the back of my mouth pulled. The only ones that will be left are the four in the front(besides the lower teeth).
