36 hours to go.... DONT PANIC!

36 hours to go... Don't panic, I keep tell myself this over and over. I am rather unhappy today, I am really wanting this to be done and over with. I cant tell you how much all of your support means to me! I am sure those who are close to me are sick of hearing about my teeth. So I have a few questions.

Broken tooth...

So I was munching on some cheese its and bit into something hard. I felt that panic come over me " shit, I broke a tooth". I instantly started to feel around my mouth. Sure enough I had... I recently took the dreaded before picture no one wants to take. I suggest for you to do it too. It really opened my eyes to how horrible my teeth have gotten and removed any fears and worries from my brain. I hadn't smiled an open smile in years and only see my teeth when I brush them, all I can think now is that the final e-day can't come soon enough. The time is passing fairly quick.

I know this sounds terrible but I am looking forward to a long nap afterward the final extraction almost as much as the new smile. It's been so long since I have had time to cuddle in bed with a book and relax. Kaylee never lets anyone relax in our house. She will be at my parent's house on e-day until my husband comes home. I get excited even thinking about it, lol.

At 7:19pm on March 1, 2009, Jennifer said…: Hi Amanda it's nice to meet you! My denture process isn't like most. My dentist has divided my upper teeth into thirds and has extracted them in three different days. I already had an upper partial so I only had ten teeth on top. I have had six extracted and am waiting until the final e-day to pull the other four. You can't notice it because I am still able to wear my partial with adhesives. I am not sure of my last e-day because we have to make sure my gums are healing well enough before impressions. He's hoping that I will have less problems and won't have so much down time doing it this way. I hope he's right. My e-day should be somewhere in the middle of March unless I have a set back. I am going to the dentist once a week to have the bottom teeth repaired so that I can keep them. I will end up needing a bottom partial too but I am putting that off for a little bit until I get the full upper. I am already feeling better having those terrible teeth out of my mouth (the back ones were really bad with lots of infection). I am still a little scared that the denture won't resemble my real teeth and I will look really odd. There is also the whole speech thing, I only am able to have four days off of work and really need to be able to speak well when I go back. On the up side I will have a beautiful smile, so will you. Also there will be no more tooth aches and head aches. I cannot wait to smile! Keep me posted on how you are doing, it was nice to meet you!
